Now, Jesus shows us also, why He came not only who He is, not only His identity, but also what He came to do. His purpose and He comes out of the water, To go into His mission. And this is what Jesus wants to share with us to be sanctified. He goes to the waters and sanctifies them so that we can also receive grace through the waters of baptism and we can receive that mission and share in that mission with Him to go out to preach the gospel to share the good news of God’s love to all nations. And to make disciples of all of them, sharing the love of God and helping everyone in their journey. Not a homily. Not a sermon, just a little Jolt of faith that we all need.
