Easter isn’t just one day — the Church celebrates the joy of the Resurrection for 50 days. As we enter the third week of Easter, it can be easy to move on as decorations come down and life returns to normal. But the hope and joy of the Risen Christ are meant to continue. This week’s practical suggestion: spend time reading and reflecting on the Acts of the Apostles. This powerful “church history” shows how the Resurrection and the Holy Spirit transformed the early Church — and how that same joy can be alive in our lives today.

As we continue our celebration of Easter, begin the third week of Easter, it might be easy to think Easter’s over. After all. all the candies gone, I’m getting ready to take the decorations down. The flowers have started to die, but the joy of the Resurrection extends for 50 days and how do we keep that hope and that joy alive after Easter comes and goes? Well, my friends Easter season called us to continue to live in that joy of the Risen Christ and the next few videos are going to be some practical suggestions of how we keep that Easter joy going as real life gets back to normal. One way, is by reading and reflecting on the Acts of the Apostles. You know, that’s kind of the church history book that talks about the early church and it’s filled with the power of the joy that the resurrection made in the life of the early church. And it’s an inspiring way for us to be reminded that that same power that same joy that same hope can live in our lives as well. That’s going to be this week’s suggestion to spend some time this Easter season reading the Acts of the Apostles reflecting, praying with how the power of the Risen Christ and the Holy Spirit made such a powerful difference in the life of the early church and through them affected the world. Because after all, the joy of Easter is so great, that the church has given us 50 days which means that that hope and that joy needs to be alive and well, in us as well. This is a suggestion of how we can keep that joy going in our lives as well.
