Be formed in your faith

MANNA is a monthly event for men to strengthen their faith through food, speakers, and fraternity. Each night begins with dinner provided by the Knights of Columbus. We enjoy everything from spaghetti to steak, depending on the day. This is followed by a talk on a topic related to our Catholic Faith. After the talk, men are welcome to stay for time in fraternity. Our schedule of planned speakers is below:

Formation is for mission

In 2023, Formation Feast expanded to active ministry in the community. Under the direction of the newly formed Outreach Committee, volunteers lend their expertise and muscle to projects in the pastorate and beyond. The first project was to renovate the basement of the Sister Margaret Bauer Hall on the St. John’s campus. Volunteers demoed, constructed a new wall, and drywalled the space, jumpstarting a larger renovation project. The committee is always looking for new projects. Please email Fr. Feast

August 13th, 2024 marked our 2nd Annual Pastorate Formation Feast BBQ in St. Joseph’s LaPointe Hall. Almost 100 men attended to celebrate a year of Formation Feasts. We had brisket, pulled pork, burgers and brats along with potluck sides and desserts. BYOB bottles of whiskey were available along with a wide range of other beverages.  There was a lot to celebrate! Another year of tough topics, brotherhood, and strengthening our Catholic faith was improved upon with the addition of the mission team beginning renovation work in the Sr. Margaret Bauer Hall basement.  The feasts and work of the Outreach team will continue through to next August!

Stained Glass Window Project - St. Joseph on Carrollton Manor

HELP US BEAUTIFY OUR CHURCH

We are excited to announce a beautiful new chapter for our church: the addition of stained-glass windows to our sanctuary! These treasured windows, originally from Mary Star of the Sea Church in Baltimore, will be given new life in our worship space for generations to come. Ten windows are needed, at a cost of $18,000 per window. This includes the purchase, retrofit, and restoration of each window. Your prayers and financial support will help preserve these beautiful works of art and create a lasting expression of our faith.

WAYS TO SUPPORT THE STAINED GLASS WINDOW PROJECT
– Gifts of any amount are warmly welcomed and deeply appreciated. Every donation brings us closer to our goal of bringing these beautiful windows into our sanctuary.
– Gifts of $5,000–$17,999: The donor’s name will be included in a memorial book displayed in the narthex as a lasting expression of gratitude.
– A gift of $18,000: Sponsor a window “In Memory of” or “In Honor of” a loved one. An engraved plaque will be placed below the window to recognize your special dedication.
