Our Stained Glass project at St. John the Evangelist is COMPLETE!
The historic stained-glass windows were created in the 1940s by glass artisan Jacob Renner, who studied under the masters in Germany. The windows previously hung in a Pennsylvania church and have been restored to their original finishes.
Installation took place throughout the summer, and the windows will be blessed by Archbishop William E. Lori on September 10.
This celebration will honor the church’s past and recognize the present role the church plays in Frederick’s Catholic community by welcoming more than one thousand parishioners every weekend.
Thank you to everyone within the community who helped make this happen!
