Types of Prayer Series (Part 3): Gratitude | Jolt of Faith+ 10/2

In this week’s Jolt of Faith, we continue our Types of Prayer Series with one that transforms both our faith and our daily outlook: gratitude. We often go to God in prayer asking for help—but how often do we go back to thank Him when prayers are answered? Gratitude isn’t only about thanking God for answered prayers, but also for the countless blessings we didn’t even think to ask for: a sunrise, a breath of life, a moment of beauty. When gratitude becomes part of our prayer, it deepens our relationship with God and helps us see more clearly just how much He loves us.

🙏 Join us as we reflect on the power of thankful prayer in drawing us closer to God.

Types of Prayer Series (Part 3): Gratitude | Jolt of Faith+ 10/2
For this Jolt of Faith I wanted to talk about another form of prayer which is gratitude, You know, we all realize we need to go to God for things but you ought to go back to God when those prayers are answered. The importance of that gratitude – of thanking God for those answered prayers. But also just thanking God for the blessings that are showered down upon me day after day. A beautiful sunrise, beautiful weather, a beautiful flower. Just the fact that I got out of bed and was still breathing. Gratitude needs to be an important part of our prayer just as much as petition because when we are grateful, people were happier people. We all know how to ask God for things, and hopefully when there’s prayers are granted, we remember to say, thank you. What about taking time to thank God for,not the things that I didn’t even ask for, but the blessings He gave me anyway. When we are more grateful in our prayer, it helps deepen our relationship with God as it helps us realize how much our God really loves us. Not a sermon, not a homily but just a little Jolt of Faith.
