We all have defining moments in life.Whether it’s that time we realized we had a special passion or calling for a career.Maybe it’s when we met our spouse or maybe it’s the first time we became a parent.There’s defining moments that define the course of our lives.

People of faith, we have those as well.And those can be varied, but there’s one that we all share in common, and that’s our baptism. And the problem is most of us were baptized when we were little kids, infants, so we don’t remember that defining moment.And that’s why the Church celebrates this weekend, the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord.

Now Jesus didn’t need to be baptized from sin like you and I do, but he wanted to establish it as a defining moment for us.That that defining moment can be something that’s not just a memory in the scrapbook, but there can be something that affects and changes how we live our daily lives.
